Women’s Bible Study - “Blessed One:
Protestant Perspectives on Mary” by Cynthia Rigby. This class, which has
already studied “Bad Girls of the Bible,” will explore how Mary, the mother of
Jesus, fits into this community of women and what she teaches us today as
Presbyterians. This class meets Sunday
Mornings in the conference room.
Introduction to Discipleship - This is a class for people who are exploring membership at Covenant
Presbyterian Church, taught by the Pastors and Elders. This class meets at 9:45 Sunday mornings in
room 2.
Men’s Bible Study-This class meets
in the Great Room Closet (yes the closet)
The Men will be studying “The Power of God and the gods of Power” by Dan
Migliore. This class is led by Elder Alan Metzger and will explore how our
understanding of God and power shapes our use of power in our families and
community
Trinity: God’s
Love Overflowing - in Room 4 – This four week study led by Pastors
Laura and Rob will explore how our understanding of the Triune God affects our
mission, our worship, our ethical behavior and our very being as the people of
God. This report reflects 5 years of
study by some of the best Presbyterian leadership and has been commended to our
church for study. Two of the authors Dr.
Dan Migliore and Dr. Cynthia Rigby will be leading the Trinity Conference this
fall at Covenant. You can download the
report from the PCUSA web site www.pcusa/theologyandworship/issues/trinityfinal.pdf. or we will have reports available in the
office or at the first class September 7, 2008.

Psalms and what they tell us in our faith journey today. The class is led by
Pastor Laura Frazey.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast.
Thursday
morning at 8:00 AM at Riverside Café 739 w. 13th street. This class is exploring
the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt as we read H.L. Ellison’s “The Daily
Study Bible Series” on Exodus. The class is led by Pastor Rob Erickson.
